Nestle in pact with Magic Bus for health & nutrition awareness

FMCG major Nestle today signed an agreement with Magic Bus India Foundation to spread nutrition and health awareness among government schools students in the country.
The initiative will reach out to 50,000 students aged between 10- 17 years in different government schools of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad for four years, the company said in a statement.
Commenting on initiative, Nestle India MD Etienne Benet said: "In line with the already operational, Nestle Healthy Kids Global Programme, we intend to reach out to adolescents across metros in India."

Idea launches 3G wifi dongle for Rs 2,999 * Idea Cellular today launched a 3G
wifi dongle for Rs 2,999 which can connect up to 10 devices with a download speed of 21.6 Mbps.
Idea said the device, which comes bundled with 6 GB 3G data for one month and is compatible with all major operating systems is targeted towards SOHO (small office and home office) users.
"The dongle connects up to 10 devices with a download speed of 21.6 Mbps and an upload speed of 11 Mbps. Laptops, phones, tablets and music players can be connected at the same time, to the smart wifi hub, enabling the users to manage multiple devices across the same network," Idea said in a statement.

Microsoft eyes 'TV White spaces' tech for affordable Internet * Software giant Microsoft is betting big on 'TV White spaces' technology to offer affordable broadband services in the rural part of India to deliver last mile connectivity.
Microsoft plans to run pilots of the 'TV White spaces' (low frequency spectrum between TV channels) technology and will start with IIIT Bangalore.
"We are awaiting Pilot license to begin trial at IIIT Bangalore...We may start with the campus but would like to take it to rural area to see how it works with natural barriers," Microsoft India Chairman Bhaskar Pramanik told reporters here.
