Retail engagement platform Netree is aiming to connect with around five lakh retailers by July 2019 helped by its flagship initiative FOOP', which allows direct benefit transfer of the schemes and offers by brands to consumers, said a top company official.
The company has also signed an MoU with retail major Walmart for its FOOP services, where it will reach out to the retailers offering various benefits on the purchases.
"Right now, Netree is providing services to 15,000 retailers. We want to expand to 5 lakh retailers by July 2019, that's our objective," Netree founder and CEO Desi Valli told PTI.
The current business which runs through Netree platform is around Rs 360 crore, he added.
It is presently associated with FMCG brands which include P&G, ITC, Hatsun and Dr Oetkar.
FOOP, a technology platform run through app targets to connect, promote and transact businesses in the retail network, directly with consumer.
It helps brands, distributors and retailers to connect, promote and transact between them and directly with customers.
"Biggest advantage for the consumer is FOOP enables the direct benefit transfer of the schemes/offers offered by brands to consumers. FOOP will also help to control and manage business, channel and consumer very efficiently," Valli added.
Netree has tied up with an Airtel payment bank to facilitate this.
Presently, 92 per cent of the market is being managed by the smaller medium offline retailers and here a connect is needed with exchange of information between two parties.
The other advantages of FOOP will include, aiding the outreach campaigns with marketing engine, promoting the schemes of brands, mobilising the coupons for retailers and distributors and knowing the customers.
