Kumar,a 1992 IAS officer of AGMU (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and other Union Territories) cadre andPrincipal Secretary to PWD in the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi has been shifted as Chief Secretary to Puducherry.
He succeeds Manoj Parida, who has been transferred to Delhi, according to orders issued by the Union Home Ministry on November 2.

Parida was appointed Chief Secretary in 2015 and associated himself with many developmental projects, including revival of the air service from Puducherry to Hyderabad.
The Home Ministry in its November 2 order also announced transfer of Development Commissioner of Puducherry G Narendra Kumar to Delhi and shifting of A Anbarasu, an IAS officer of 1996 batch and is the Secretary (Services) in Delhi government to Puducherry to succeed him as Development Commissioner.
