The new policy will be effective from April 2016 till March 31, 2017, said an official spokesman.
With regard to the allotment of retail sale liquor licenses (L-2/L-14A), it is mentioned that there will be in total 48 groups of retail sale liquor licenses across the entire city.
The total quota for liquor has been kept at last year's level.
"The total quota of IMFL will be 67.5 lakh proof litres and for country liquor, it will be 7.5 proof litres, and for both IMFL and country liquor, it will be 75 lakh proof litres and it is kept as same as was in last year," it said.
