Singer Nick Jonas feels honoured to be considered a gay icon, but does not think he deserves it.
However, the 23-year-old singer wants more straight artists to embrace their gay fanbase, reported Digital Spy.
"It's an honour, but I don't think of myself as an icon. There should be a lot more straight artists who don't have a problem with having gay fans," he said.
Jonas, who is seen playing a closet gay boxer in "Kingdom" said he will continue playing gay characters.
"I'm really proud to play gay characters and I'll continue to do so. I think it's among the challenges of maturing as an actor," he said.
