Nine more persons arrested for violence during hartal

Nine more persons were arrested today taking the total number of people held on charge of creating violence during the "hartal" organised by ruling BJD on Monday, to 12, police said.
The police had yesterday arrested three persons on charge of misbehaving with a woman during the hartal.
Nine people were arrested today on two different complaints lodged in Saheed Nagar police station and Chandrasekharpur police station in the city.
While one case was regarding beating up of a person and damage to his vehicle, another was in connection with the ransacking of the IOCL office at Chandrasekharpur area here.

The arrests were made on the basis of CCTV footages. More persons involved in violence during the hartal may be arrested soon, said Police Commissioner YB Khurania.
