"PMCH junior doctors strike is uncalled for at the time when there is a rush of patients, particularly children, for treatment of the AES symptoms," he told reporters.
Instead of going on strike, the junior doctors should have treated the patients with full devotion and dedication, Kumar said, adding that the state government was making arrangements of doctors from across the state to ensure their sufficient number at the hospital to take care of the patients.
The state government will, at the same time, look into the grievances of the agitating medicos even as both doctors and the kins of patients should observe self-restraint, the Chief Minister said, adding that the Principal Secretary (Health) has taken initiative to break deadlock in the junior doctors strike.
About 500 junior doctors at PMCH had gone on indefinite strike last week after the kins of an AES patient had assaulted a junior doctor and other medical staffers at PMCH.
