Nitish has turned philosophical as he faces defeat: SK Modi

Senior BJP leader and former Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi today had a dig at chief minister Nitish Kumar saying that he has turned philosophical after sensing certain defeat in the general elections.
"Kumar has sensed that he has lost ground in Bihar in the general election as the poll process draws to an end...It is only after realisation of defeat dawning on him that he has turned philosophical," Modi said in a statement.
The Chief Minister is now talking about there being no guarantee of life and death and was being unmindful about losing his chair, the senior BJP leader said, adding that the former has turned philosophical after being driven into pessimism about fate of his party at the hustings even after addressing 210 election meetings across Bihar.

The former deputy chief minister accused Kumar of resorting to tactics like "misuse of power, communal polarisation and money power," to boost his candidates' prospects in the general elections, but to no avail as the people of Bihar have refused to be swayed by the Chief Minister for failure to honour the mandate for the NDA in 2010 general elections.
Kumar had to face wrath of the people in his own native district, Nalanda, even as the JD(U) president Sharad Yadav was staring at certain defeat from his traditional pocketborough - Madhepura, Modi claimed.
In a counter-attack on Kumar for questioning the BJP about source of huge money spent on the polls, the former deputy chief minister asked the former to explain to how he had managed funds for the helicopters and the candidates.

The Chief Minister had yesterday spoken about uncertainty of life and political power and said that he was least bothered about whether he remained in the position of power for long.
