NLF urges Centre to carry fwd Framework Agreement with

The Nagaland Legislators' Forum on Naga Political Issue today urged the Centre and the collective leadership of NSCN(IM) to take the 'Framework Agreement' forward and arrive at a settlement which is acceptable to the Nagas at the earliest.
The appeal was made by the Forum in the form of a resolution during a closed door meeting held in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly here under the chairmanship of Assembly Speaker Chotisuh Sazo.
Reiterating their support to the Framework Agreement signed between the Centre and NSCN(IM) on August 3 last year, the Naga Legislators entrusted the Parliamentary Working Committee along with all elected members of the Legislative Assembly including the two members of Parliament from the state under the leadership of Speaker and Chief Minister to go to Delhi and put pressure on the Centre for an early solution.

The House also appealed the Forum for Naga Reconciliation and the Political Affairs Committee of the state government to be more pro-active in bridging the gap between different groups so that they can contribute towards solving the Naga political problem.
The resolution was issued by Commissioner and Secretary of the State Assembly, N Benjamin Newmai.
