PTI had issued a news item on April 23 stating that the Election Commission had detected Rs 32 lakh being illegally channeled into Sriperumbudur Lok Saba constituency in Tamil Nadu.
We have now been informed that the election authorities had seized some materials including a paper slip mentioning details of cash of Rs 32 lakh in Perambalur constituency.
PTI regrets the error relating to the name of the Parliamentary constituency. The clarification makes it clear that cash was not seized from Mr K N Ramchandran, the AIADMK candidate in Sriperumbudur Parliamentary constituency.
