No extension to senior Defence Ministry official
The government today declined to extend senior bureaucrat Sanjiv Mittal's tenure with the Defence ministry, according to an official order.
Mittal, a 1984 batch officer of Indian Defence Accounts Service, is at present Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser (Acquisition) in the ministry.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has declined the proposal for extension in tenure of Mittal for a further period of one year beyond March 7, 2018, the order issued by personnel ministry said, without citing any reasons.
