He strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University in Pakistan, in which at least 20 people were massacred.
"I am deeply saddened to learn of the barbaric terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University at Charasada, Pakistan today. The attack is all the more condemnable as the terrorists chose for this heinous crime on the death anniversary of the great Badshah Khan, who worked tirelessly for peace," Mukherjee said in his message.
"I convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured," he said.
