No information about arsenic in city, says Mayor

"The KMC has no information about presence of arsenic in the ground water of any of the wards of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation in the city," Chatterjee said here.

"If we receive any report of presence of arsenic in any area of the KMC we will look into it, he added.

Meanwhile, the Member Mayor-in-Council (MMIC Health) Atin Ghosh said the KMC would open a single window so that children who were given birth certificates with discrepancies in 2007 can approach the KMC who will rectify the mistake.

MMIC Parks and Garden Debasis Kumar said around 2137 will be cut during the work for widening of the EM Bypass.

Kumar said the KMC will plant around 10,685 sapling for the 2137 trees which will be cut for widening of the EM Bypass.
