According to a report by election watchdog Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) report, 24 (34 per cent) MLAs have declared criminal cases against them.
Out of 24 MLAs, one is from BJP and 23 are from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which recorded a landslide victory in the polls winning 67 out of the total 70 seats.
"There were no MLAs who declared heinous criminal cases like murder, attempt to murder, crimes against women etc which is a welcome change and is unusual as compared to the rest of the country," the report said.
This election also witnessed the 91 candidates with criminal cases losing, including 60 with serious charges against them, the report added.
Meanwhile the number of women candidates who won the election doubled to 6 this year from 3 in 2013.
The average vote share of the newly elected MLAs is 55 per cent, said ADR, with 55 of them having a vote share of 50 per cent or more.
AAP candidate from Deoli, Prakash won with highest vote share of 71 per cent, while his party candidate from Najafgarh Kailash Gahlot got the lowest vote share of 35 per cent.
Mahinder Yadav of AAP from Vikaspuri won with the highest margin of 77,665 votes, whereas his party's candidate Gahlot from Najafgarh won with the lowest margin of 1,555 votes.
