Maharashtra Revenue Minister Eknath Khadse today said the government had no plan to relax the restrictions on sale of tribal lands to non-tribals.
Speaking to reporters here after the weekly cabinet meeting, Khadse denied the allegations by opposition Congress and NCP that the BJP-led government in the state was considering to revoke the restrictions.
In fact, he had in his possession letters from opposition MLAs from tribal areas and opposition leaders requesting that the government should allow the tribals to sell off their lands, he said.
