Beckingham, who was here to explore opportunities for business collaboration between his country and Madhya Pradesh, said that foreign tourists should themselves take precaution to ensure their safety.
"I know that no advisory had been issued to tourists from my country although I feel that they themselves should take precautions to ensure their safety," the Deputy High Commissioner told a press conference.
Beckingham said that he had come to Bhopal for the first time to explore business opportunities and British companies could do business in Madhya Pradesh in areas like infrastructure, education and health care.
He said that his visit to Bhopal was in continuation of an initiative started by the UK Trade and Investment to reach out to Indian companies outside major metros.
