Earlier, this concession in transaction levies were valid till September-end.
NSE, in March this year, lowered transaction charges for trading on its currency derivatives platform. It had, among others, given a discount of up to 59 per cent on such levies.
These concessions, which were introduced on a pilot basis for a period of two months from April 1, till May 31 and the same was further extended till September 30.
In order to improve the liquidity in the currency futures segment, NSE in March this year had decided to provide a concession in the transaction charges.
As per the revised charges by NSE in March, all trading members are billed at a flat rate of Rs 1.10 per lakh of traded value in currency futures.
In the currency futures segment, a discount in the transaction charges in the range of 25 per cent to 59 per cent, depending on the daily turnover, was provided.
