O N Dhar to receive award for work on Indian Monsoon

O N Dhar, a former senior official of the Indian Institute of Tropical Meterology has been nominated for the "NGRI-AHI Lifetime Achievement Award" for his pioneering work in the field of rainfall distribution and Indian monsoon.
The award by the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) and the Association of Hydrologists of India (AHI) is conferred on a distinguished Hydrologist who contributed significantly for the advancement of Hydrological Sciences in the country, says a NGRI release.
O N Dhar, now retired, will be presented the award and a citation at a function to be held soon, it said.
