"Yes, we have a plan to bring Munda on remand. We are waiting for Jharkhand police to wrap up their grilling," IG, Western Range Y K Jethwa said today.
Jethwa also confirmed having got the news about arrest of Munda by the Jharkhand police yesterday.
Munda, an area commander who heads the 21st squad, was arrested near Poseita station and security personnel seized one loaded SLR from his possession, in a breakthrough by Jharkhand police in its anti-Maoist operation.
Munda's squad was active in Western Singhbhum in Jharkhand and Keonjhar and Sundergarh in Odisha having operated mainly inside the deep jungles of Saranda.
He belonged to Bitkilsoya village under Jareikela police station area in Odisha.
