Parents, who went to watch the Pixar film, are reportedly furious as an employee accidentally initially played the horror film, even though the staff caught the mistake early in the screening, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Jazmyn Moore, who went to watch the animated movie with her five kids, said the images of children being tied up and murdered appeared on the screen, terrifying the children with the sights and sounds, according to Journal News.
Moore says she and the other adults in the auditorium quickly gathered their families and left.
The theatre manager apologised to the guests and offered free passes and 3D upgrades of "Inside Out".
