"You need to render extraordinary service to people to mitigate their difficulties and act as a bridge between the administration and the people through welfare and progress of the state," Omar, who is also working president of the National Conference, said while addressing party office bearers from Pulwama district, here.
Describing National Conference, as a movement of the people rather than a mere political party, the Chief Minister asked party workers to give a "befitting reply" to detractors of the party by exhibiting unity, solidarity and commitment to the public welfare.
Omar said National Conference has passed through many vicissitudes and faced various challenges of the time successfully.
"The party and its workers have always steered people of Jammu and Kashmir through difficult periods by giving great sacrifices," he said.
