One arrested in connection with laptop thefts in trains

Railway Police today claimed to have solved several cases of laptop thefts in passenger and express trains, with the arrest of a person at Srivilliputhur Railway station.
They said Ramakrishnan was arrested yesterday after a final year engineering student raised an alarm on seeing him running, after stealing his laptop.
Four laptops, stolen from various passengers, were recovered from his possession today, they said.
Ramakrishnan had also confessed to have stolen cash and other articles from the Passengers, they said.
