Congress worker Surya Mohan Debanth was killed with sharp weapons while four others were injured in the clash in Palashtoli area of Alipurduar sub-division, police said.
The injured were rushed to hospital where condition of two of them was stated to be serious, they said.
Efforts are on to nab the culprits, they said.
