One kg steel objects removed from mentally challenged man

About 58 steel objects such as blades and pins, weighing around one kg, were removed from the stomach of a 35-year-old mentally challenged man by doctors at the government hospital here.
A team of doctors of Mohan Kumaramangalam Super Speciality hospital here performed an emergency operation last night after the man complained of severe stomach pain, Dr Mohan, Hospital Dean, said.
An X-ray test on the patient, belonging to Hasthampatty, revealed steel objects like pins and blades inside his stomach, the doctor said, adding, his condition was stable now.
