Only BJP can bring overall development in state: Shahnawaz

Senior BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain today said that BJP alone could bring about overall development in Jammu and Kashmir.
"People have seen decades of misrule in the state and looting of the funds meant for your development. Only BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi can bring about the overall development of the state, he told an election meeting in Rajouri.
He said BJP was the only party that believed in taking along all the sections of the society.
"Congress divided people for the sake of vote bank politics, but BJP believes in the motto of 'Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas'. We don't do politics of religion caste or creed, the BJP national spokesman said.

He said Muslims in India were more prosperous as compared to the Muslims of Pakistan.
"The fact that BJP has given representation to all elected Muslims representatives of the party in the cabinet proves that the party believes taking along members of all communities," Hussian said.

He expressed hope that BJP would for the first time form the government in Jammu and Kashmir.
"The response which the people of the state have given to us is tremendous and we are not only hopeful but confident enough that we would cross the mark of 44+ in the state," he said.
Jammu and Kashmir Assembly has 87 seats.

Hussian who has been campaigning for the party candidates in the state said Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to bring the state of Jammu and Kashmir on the developmental map of the country.
"He has a dream to develop your state, to make it the number one tourist destination, provide people all the basic infrastructure including roads, 24 hours power supply and drinking water facility," he said.
