Oppn AINRC flays govt for 'dismissing' daily wage paid workers

: The opposition AINRC has flayed the Congress government for allegedly dismissing from service a large number of daily wage workers in government departments and government undertakings.
AINRC Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) R Radhakrishnan said the termination of services of the workers who were employed for more than two years in various departments was unjust and strikes at the livelihood of the workers and inflict agony on the families'.
Pleading for their immediate reinstatement, he said in a release that ever since the present ministry assumed office it had been sacking daily wage workers.
The government should also take steps to fill vacancies in various governments, Radhakrishnan said.
He appealed to Lt Governor Kiran Bedi to intervene and ensure that justice was done to the workers.
