The parties had began the boycott alleging use of unparliamentary language by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in his address on the General Budget.
"I had requested leaders of all the opposition parties individually to take part in the proceedings. But they stayed away... By doing so they have failed to discharge the duty for which the public had elected them," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said in the Assembly today.
"Instead of taking part in the debate on the Budget they have been busy... The tendency to run away from the House is not good... They ought to have reviewed their behaviour and attended the House today," he said.
Speaker Hriday Narain Dixit, in a passing reference to the opposition, said there has been some action on their part which has "defamed the House and they need to introspect".
Later, the House was adjourned sine die.
On July 20, a day after the chief minister's address, the opposition had alleged that unparliamentary and threatening language was used against it, and the microphone of Leader of the Opposition Ram Govind Chaudhary was switched off, denying him an opportunity to speak.
Later, the opposition had decided to stay away from the House till the end of the session.
