Auction house Osian's has lined up artworks by leading Indian modern masters for its first fundraiser sale, part proceeds of which will support a joint initiative of the Unicef and the Delhi Daredevils IPL team towards the cause of the girl child.
Bollywood actress and Unicef Goodwill ambassador Priyanka Chopra has been roped in to perform at the "Art and Cinema Memorabilia" scheduled on April 19, according to the auction house.
"The standards of the professional auction will be maintained despite the funds being utilised for charitable purposes. The consignor's, including many of India's leading artists, will donate 50 per cent of the sale proceeds to the UNICEF cause," says Osian's.
An oil and acrylic on canvas "The Wall" (2007) by Atul Dodiya measuring 182.8 x 243.8 cm features a portrait of Amir Khan in a cricket stadium and sports signatures of the cricketers has been pegged between Rs 40 lakhs to 64 lakhs.

I had written a poem on her as well under 'Feet of Glass/ Out alone she stands" reads the description by Naval in the Osian's catalogue for the auction.
