Over 1,500 cases settled in Nat Lok Adalat in Vizianagaram

As many as 1,568 cases were today settled and over Rs 3.47 crore worth settlements made during the 9th National Lok Adalat at the District Legal Services Committee campus here.
District Judge M Lakshmi Narayana said 16,000 cases were pending the district and almost 90 percent cases were settled in the first two years.
"It is very much appreciated that the advocates are helping the litigants to come forward to the Lok Adalats and the settlements are done in a quicker way," Narayana said.
"2,014 cases were settled from February to December this year," he said.
District first additional Judge K.V. Ramanaji Rao, SC ST Act Special Judge V. Venkateswara Rao, Senior Civil Judge V. Naresh were present on the occasion.
