Over 10 kg poppy seized in Jammu, two held

The Jammu Police today arrested two drug peddlers for allegedly trying to smuggle over 10 kg poppy out of the state, officials said.
The arrests were made when the police signalled a Swift car to stop at a check point at the Kunjwani chowk here, they said.
During the search of the vehicle, 10 kg poppy was seized, the officials said. The contraband was being taken to Punjab, they added.
A case has been registered at the Gangyal police station and investigation is on, they said.
