The FIR has been registered at Sachivalya police station on the basis of footage of the event, Senior Superintendent of police Manu Maharaj told PTI.
Bricks and stones were thrown at the Desratna Marg residence of Speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary on Tuesday during the protest march of RJD led by its president Lalu Prasad to the assembly, to parade nine of the 13 MLAs who had given letter to quit the party.
"They (RJD followers) took out a violent procession in the protected area and indulged in rowdism. This cannot be tolerated," he told reporters and added that lawful action would be initiated against persons indulging in violence.
Choudhary had criticised the 'hooliganism' of RJD supporters and said it was not against an individual but at the man sitting on a constitutional seat.
He had also alleged it was an attack on a person hailing from mahadalit section to 'frighten' him to change the decision on the RJD MLAs.
