Around 40 people complaining of stomach pain, vomitting and loose motion have been admitted to the General Hospital while some have been admitted to private hospitals in the city, some at PGI and some have even gone to Hisar.
Reports of diarrhoea had emerged last week but were not taken seriously by the villagers. The number of people falling prey to it increased drastically in the last two days.
Those affected claim the matter was brought to the notice of the Public Health Department as well as the village head who did not pay any heed.
Villagers claim they had informed the village head about the issue but he did not act on time.
Initially, some of the affected were treated in the village itself. Some of them got relief but even now, of around 250 families in the village, more than 200 people are complaining of stomach pain, vomitting and loose motion.
