In its report on Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources scheme, the Committee, however, complimented the Ministry for initiating a number of measures to improve implementation of the schemes in the North East region as per its earlier recommendation.
"The committee also recommended that in addition to measures already undertaken to ensure timely completion of projects, the Ministry should further intensify their monitoring mechanism to ensure that under no circumstances there is diversion of fund meant for projects under the NLCPR scheme," it said.
The DoNER Ministry provides central assistance for developmental projects in the Northeastern region under NLCPR scheme.
