Two days ago Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) had protested against the concert.
Deputy Commissioner of Police M L Ninama said the organisers submitted an application to Naranpura police station informing about the postponement. The new date was not informed.
VHP has demanded cancellation of the event, pointing out that a Pakistani court recently imposed restrictions on screening of Indian films in that country.
