Pakistan team has been excluded from participating in the upcoming International School Cricket Premier League (ISCPL) to be held here from December 19 for security reasons.
"Becon House Lahore of Pakistan was willing to participate in the event starting from December 19 but due to ongoing border tensions it has been excluded citing security reasons," Convenor of ISCPL Vinita Kamran said today.
She said the founder of City Montessori School, which organises the event, Jagdish Gandhi has excluded the Pakistan team.
Kamran said 18 teams, including from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Oman and South Africa, would participate in the league.
He said for the first time Doordarshan would broadcast live the first and last match of the league.
