Terming Pakistan as an "important country in an important place" in the world, the US has said nothing has changed its desire to work with the South Asian country on a "commom threat".
"Pakistan is an important country in an important place in the world. Nothing has changed about our desire to continue to work with Pakistan on what is very much a common threat," Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Admiral John Kirby said.
Instability and insecurity in the region resulted from the killing of innocent people, he said yesterday.
"This is a threat that we share with Pakistan, and continue to want to work with Pakistan to try to eradicate it," he said.
