Palmolein, soyabean oils rise on pick up in demand

Prices of palmolein and soyabean oils rose by Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today following pick up in demand from retailers.
However, other edible and non-edible oils continued to trade in a tight range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said pick up in demand from retailers mainly led to the rise in palmolein and soyabean oil prices.
In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,850 and Rs 5,650 per quintal respectively.
Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils also traded higher by similar margin to Rs 6,650 and Rs 6,350 per quintal respectively.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 960-1,130.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,700, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,350-1,400, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,200, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,200- 1,250, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,250-1,350, sesame mill delivery 8,300, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,650, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,350, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 4,600, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,000, Palmolein (RBD) 5,850, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,650 and Coconut (per tin) 2,675-2,750.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 8,150, Castor 9,600-9,700, Neem 5,350-5,450.
