However, the girl's parents have now withdrawn the complaint after the youth assured them that he would marry her.
According to the complaint, the youth had barged into the girl's house on February 10 last year and raped her. He had also filmed the incident and threatened to upload the video over Internet, police spokesman said.
The accused repeatedly raped the girl for a year by blackmailing her with the rape clip, police said.
"During the meeting, the accused admitted his mistake and proposed to marry the victim. Both the families accepted the proposal," the spokesperson said.
On the day of the marriage yesterday, the boy backtracked on his promise to marry the girl, compelling her family to file a police complaint against him.
However, the accused has again agreed to marry her.
"The accused has again agreed to marry the victim after the girl's family filed a complaint against him.
"The victim's family withdrew the complaint," Satendra Kumar, station in charge, said.
