Kerala Congress (M) chief and State Finance Minister K M Mani today said his party would look into the corruption charges levelled against him by senior party leader P C George and take a judicious decision in this regard.
Mani's statement comes in wake of party Vice-Chairman P C George, who was removed from the post of government Chief Whip, levelling fresh corruption charges against him.
"Some people have the hobby of raising allegations against their party leaders. The party will seriously consider and look into the issue," Mani told reporters here.
"Our party has a system and a judicious decision would be taken," he said, adding that anybody can move court based on the property details he is going to furnish to the Chief Minister.
On the FIR registered against him in the bar bribe case, he said it is the "fundamental principle of criminal jurisprudence".
The Kerala Finance Minister stressed that he had an unstinted image during his long political career spanning for 50 years.
George had earlier written a letter to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy raising fresh allegations of corruption and alleged that Mani refused to take steps to check the fall in price of rubber to help tyre majors. George had also levelled allegations against Mani's son Jose.
