"People are not at all happy with the BJP government at the Centre for not fulfilling the promises made during the Lok Sabha polls, particularly on controlling rising prices of essential commodities," Lok Sabha MP and NCP General Secretary Tariq Anwar told newsmen here.
Tall promises were made during the election campaign, raising people's expectations on inflation and price rise but as the government is completing 100 days, there is no significant change, he charged.
He also held the government responsible for disturbing the secular fabric in the country with its "RSS-backed communal agenda."
On BJP's alleged "love-jihad" campaign, Anwar said, there was no ban on love marriages in the country and top BJP Muslim leaders too are no exceptions.
"This is a clear cut conspiracy against minority community," Anwar alleged.
On the denial of LoP status to Congress, Anwar said the BJP's attitude was unjustified.
On protocol front also, whenever a foreign dignitary is on a visit, besides meeting the President and Prime Minister, he would like to meet the LoP which is a custom, Anwar said.
On the seat-sharing formula in the forthcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, Anwar who was here to discuss the poll preparations, said it would be finalised soon.
