AAP's national convener Sanjay Singh along with Party Punjab Convener Sucha Singh Chottepur and Party MP Bhagwant Mann said that in the Assembly elections scheduled in 2017, people would throw Akalis out of power due to their dictatorial attitude while running the government as they failed to come up as per the expectation of masses.
The AAP leaders claimed that people in the power corridors in Punjab have completely took over the sand business in their own hands with the gross misuse of Mining Act.
The AAP leaders claimed if people during 2017 Assembly elections voted them to power, their first priority would be to address the problems faced by peasant community in the state as suicide ratio is increasing rapidly in Punjab due to neglected and pathetic attitude of the government towards debt ridden farmers.
The AAP leaders also claimed that there was severe unrest in youth and students in Punjab due various reasons besides the potent issue of unemployment.
They strongly ruled out political alliance with any other outfit during the assembly elections in Punjab.
They also ruled out to take interest in the SGPC politics, since they don't believe that religion should ever be dragged in politics.
