She said the campus will help students from nearby localities.
"We are committed to improving the educational infrastructure in the city. The permamnent campus of the university will come up on a 93-acre plot," she said.
Dikshit was speaking after launching a project to lay sewer lines in Gandhi Vihar area under Adarsh Nagar assembly constituency.
The university was established by the city government in August 2008 and it has been functioning from the Indraprastha University campus at Kashmere Gate.
"In order to address the shortage of dwelling units in Delhi, the city government has been constructing low-cost houses," she said.
She said laying sewer lines in the unauthorised colony will go a long way in providing a clean and healthy atmosphere in the settlement.
