A mob ransacked a Primary Health Centre (PHC) after two deaths in quick succession, alleging negligence by a doctor at Kursela in Katihar district of Bihar today, police said.
The mob smashed furniture, doors and windows of the PHC and chased away the doctors and paramedics working there, they said.
Katihar Civil Surgeon Dr Subhash Chandra Paswan said he had already removed Dr D Singh from duty following complaints that due to his negligence one Gudiya Kumari (18) and a newborn
baby of one Julie Devi died early this morning.
An enquiry had also been ordered into the complaints. Action would be taken if the doctor was found guilty, he said.
