The petition, filed by activist Ketan Tirodkar, sought a direction to the state government and the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) to register an offence against those behind the website under section 121 of IPC which pertains to waging war against nation.
The petitioner said that the act of launching the website, "http://www.Menathuramgodse.Com", amounted to committing the offence of waging war against the nation.
The petition said, the wesite's home page claims to have revealed a true account of 'Why he killed Gandhi'.
