Pilot's statue damaged, protests erupt
"Rajesh Pilot's statue in LBS government college was broken by some unidentified miscreants," DSP Alok Singhal said.
Enraged over the incident, a large number of youths and members of the Gujjar community staged protests demanding immediate arrest of the culprits, he said.
The protesters, chanting slogans denouncing the incident, called for a shutdown tomorrow in Kotputli town in Jaipur district.
Tension ran high in the town where additional police were deployed to maintain calm.
