Plan to get temple land for housing scheme for mediapersons

: Puducherry government today said it proposes to acquire temple land in neighbouring Villianoor block for housing scheme for mediapersons.
Chief Minister N Rangasamy told reporters here that he had asked revenue authorities to acquire the stretch of temple land in V.Manaveli village in Villianoor block.This land would be used for residential plots for mediapersons, he said.
The reporters met the CM to thank him for steps taken to issue notifications for grant of awards for 'Best Journalist' and 'Best Photo Journalist' and implementation of pension scheme for them
The delegation earlier met Chief Secretary Chetan B Sanghi, Secretary to Information and Publicity M Candavelou and also Under Secretary to Finance department and thanked them for their role in preparing the Government Orders with approval of Lt Governor for the awards scheme.
