Plastic bags factory sealed

A plastic cover manufaturing unit here was today sealed for allegedly producing bags below 40 microns thickness, corporation officials said.
Plastic bags totally weighing three tonnes were seized from the unit by city corporation health department officials, they said.
The government has banned plastic bags under 40 micron thickness and the unit had violated this norm, they added.
