PMK, an ally of NDA, today said it would approach the President if the Tamil Nadu Governor failed to take action on its memorandum about alleged corruption by the ruling AIADMK.
PMK had in February submitted to Governor K Rosaiah a memorandum listing 18 allegations of corruption against the state government, but no action had been taken on it so far, party leader and former union minister Anbumani Ramadoss told reporters here.
Speaking after the party's General Council meeting, he said PMK would petition the President seeking action on its memorandum, which urged the Governor to seek a report from Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and recommend an inquiry by a former judge if the reply was unsatisfactory.
He also said no new industries had been set up in the state though then Chief Minister Jayalalithaa claimed Rs 34,000 crore worth investments would be made.
He sought a white paper on the status of the promised investments.
