Doctors of Provincial Medical Services Association (PMSA) Uttar Pradesh today decided to go on a token strike on Jul 22, if they did not get special assured career progress (ACP).
The decision in this regard was taken at an executive meeting of the Association here.
"The doctors are of the view that they should get special ACPS in which they get assured salary enhancement after 4, 11, 17 and 24 years of service. If our demand is not met, we will go for a token strike on July 22," President, PMSA, Dr Ashok Yadav told reporters here.
All services, except emergency and postmortem, will be stopped for the day, he said.
"We have not got any benefits from the government and even Chief Minister had assured us that he will look into the matter, but nothing happened. No arrangements have been made for rural allowance, vehicle allowance etc," Secretary, PMSA, Sachin Vaish said.
All these issues were discussed in an executive meeting in which doctors from over the state participated, he added.
