"Police sub-inspector D C Solanki of Surat's Dindoli area, whose act of dancing with a bar girl went viral yesterday, was suspended by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) M M Anarwala," Dindoli police inspector S J Baloch said.
Solanki was caught dancing with a bar girl while on duty, which prompted the police department to initiate action against him after a video of his act went viral on 'Whatsapp' yesterday.
According to Baloch, Solanki had gone to an event on December 19, as a part of his duty, but he had started dancing with a bar girl at the event.
Solanki was also seen in the video, showering currency on the bar girl and dancing with her in his police uniform.
